DON EDMONDS It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Don Edmonds on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the age of 94. Dad had the love and support of his family. He was especially fond of his grandchildren, Courtney (Garrett), Scott, Jessie (Ryan), Laura (Michael), Spencer (Shyanne) and Lisa. He was a great father and father-in-law to Wendy and Larry, Terry and Debbie, Trudy and Ian. He is survived by his brother Les (Jean) and good friend Mary Henry. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Jean in 1992, his parents and other siblings. Dad lived a life full of adventures, with a twinkle in his eye. You always knew just by looking at him if he was up to something. He spent many happy winters with friends and family in Arizona, golfing and minding the orange trees. He loved to play cards and could count a cribbage hand before you put it on the table. Dad had a very special relationship with his caregiver, Philip. He was a wonderful friend to Dad and we are so very grateful for the time they spent together. We would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their patience, care and affection for Dad during his time as Sheriff on CD3. Donations can be made to The Riverview Health Centre Foundation for The Portrait Project of CD3. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Don was always a friendly familiar face on the farm while I was growing up...whether he was driving the combine or dropping off his white crown Vic before his departure to Phoenix. He always had the funniest stories and loved to laugh. Don was one of my favourite people and I am so happy to have known him. I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Ilia Murray (daughter of Dave Murray, Dugald) (Friend) on: Sep 14, 2015
