I realize my condolences to Sonya's family is late, however I just learned of her passing today!!! I am so very truly sorry for your loss. To Sonya's children Sabrina and Tino, her parents and brothers and sisters I am so sad to hear of her passing. I went to Victor Mager School with Sonya. We were fast friends at school. Sonya was as beautiful outside as she was inside. She had a million watt smile & a laugh that came right up from her toes!!! She was great at every sport. Especially volleyball & basketball. We had alot of fun during our school days. But as life is, we went our separate ways after we started highschool. We visited a couple of times after that. I remember one special visit I made to see Sonya & her new baby girl Sabrina. She was so proud of her little girl. Sabrina you were a beautiful little baby. I can imagine you are just as lovely as your Mom today. So once again to Sonya's family and friends I extend my most sincere sympathies for your great loss. I will always remember her with a smile & a tear. From a long ago friend Janet Harrow-Coucelles - Posted by: Janet Harrow-Courcelles () on: Jun 22, 2017

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family during this difficult time. Growing up beside their house, I remember Sonya's smile and happy personality. She was always kind to me when ever I was over at their house visiting Karen. May she be at peace now. We will meet again one day. See you on the flip side Sonya. Thinking of all of you....Anne - Posted by: Anne Weaver (Riel) (childhood neighbor) on: Sep 16, 2015

Although our get "togethers" were infrequent over the years, I felt as though we had known each other forever. That was just, Sonya. Always welcoming and genuine...and a great sense of humour! A real Maritimer ;) Sonya's smile and laughter set the room aglow. Sonya had a way of making everyone feel special. I am so grateful and blessed to have known Sonya. Let's remember the value of a smile and Sonya's gift of caring and laughter. Rest in Peace, Sonya. - Posted by: Louise Horst (Friend) on: Sep 16, 2015

I had the great pleasure of working with Sonya for just a short period of time. However in that time we had so many laughs and tons of hugs. She always had a big smile for you even when she had no idea what she was doing. I'll miss you so much my friend. I'll always treasure your energy and keep you close to my heart. Rest your beautiful soul. - Posted by: Kim Fehr (Friend) on: Sep 16, 2015

Sonya you will be missed, but you will never be forgotten. You have left us with many good, funny conversations that we can all remember. I've known you for a short time, in that time you helped through my new experience at work. You always told me how proud you were of me always, telling what a good job I was doing. You were positive energy at work. The ladies at work will continue to talk about the good times that we had with you. May you rest in peace, may your family be at peace. ❤️ - Posted by: Jaz Milinkovic (Co-Worker) on: Sep 15, 2015

Constantly thinking, never to be the same, the tears fall quickly just hearing your name. Silence is golden yet not anymore silence brings thoughts I just can't ignore. The nights are sleepless, dreams out of reach. Crying in my pillow to you I beseech. Surrounded by family, I still feel alone. My heart is so empty, this pain I must own. I wish I could hug you and just see your face. But now I have memories to stand in your place. Gone but not forgotten, that's what they say. Of course that is true... but if only you could of stayed. Your loving sister, I will miss you forever Karen ( Babe ) Sonya always called me Babe as I was the youngest, she was my sister and my best friend..R.I.P I love you. - Posted by: Karen (sister) on: Sep 15, 2015

Even though we only worked with Sonya for a couple of years, she became a very close friend. when she started at Krevco she was very quiet. It took a couple of us to draw her out of her shell. Lunch time will never be the same without you. We talked and laughed constantly about her excursions on the bus, from the drivers to the passengers. She would tell us of her shopping excursions about different people and she always seemed to find a great deal on shrimp. Her garlic shrimp was the absolute best. Sonya we love you and miss you deeply. Rest in Peace. Linda Gibson & Maria Seminiano - Posted by: Linda Gibson and Maria Seminiano (Co-workers) on: Sep 15, 2015

I've known Sonya for almost 2 years now since she started working at Krevco. I already liked her since day 1. We always eat lunch together, share stories, tease each other and laugh together along with her other new found friends. She's A God fearing person so I know I can fully trust her. She is very responsible and dedicated at work. She adores and loves her children and grandchildren very much. Sonya, I will miss you a lot. May you rest in peace! - Posted by: Maria Seminiano (friend, co-worker) on: Sep 15, 2015
