JACOB JANZEN January 8, 1924 - September 12, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Jacob Janzen. He is survived by his daughter Ann; sons, Henry (Marion), Jake (Debbie); daughters, Linda (Wendell), Helen (Brad); son Vic (Karin); daughters-in-law, Janet and Karin; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Jacob was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Agatha (Block); sons, John and Walter; and his son-in-law Richard Penner. Jacob was born January 8, 1924 in Franztal, Ukraine. After the Second World War, he immigrated to Canada in 1947, married Agatha in 1949 and settled down to raise his family. Dad enjoyed woodworking and loved to build things for his grandchildren. He was a member of the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church. We would like to thank the staff of Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for their loving care and compassion. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 16, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Rd., Winnipeg. A private family burial will follow.
