RORY NEILSON Rory Neilson, aged 19, of Thunder Bay, ON passed way peacefully at home on August 13, 2015. Rory was born in Winnipeg, MB on June 20, 1996. In his early years he moved to Niverville, MB. During his time there he made many great friends. After grade 8 he moved to Thunder Bay. Rory attended and graduated from Hammarskjold High School. He made many more wonderful friends. People were naturally drawn to him for his great sense of humour and caring nature - this made him the perfect fit for the Natural Helpers program. Rory loved his time in drama class, and he participated in the productions each year. From an early age Rory loved game of all kinds: board games, card games, video games, and game shows. More recently he enjoyed the reality competition shows, and was blessed to go to a live taping of Hell's Kitchen for season 16. He got to meet one of his idols, Gordon Ramsey for his Make-A-Wish trip. Rory is survived by his parents Chris and Lisa Neilson, grandmother Linda Davies, grandparents Bob and Valerie Neilson, Auntie Kim and Uncle Rick (cousins Hunter, Rhianna), Auntie Laura (cousins Brittany, Meaghan, Troy), Uncle Greg and Auntie Charlotte (cousins Josh, Devyn), and so many more extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will held at Northwood Community Centre, 1415 Burrows Avenue, on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Canada, or Ronald McDonald House Children's Charity. These two organizations were a huge blessing during Rory's cancer journey.
