And there, without warning, The pain washed over me. I happened by the cemetery as well. The pain too great to bear. To think that my only child Could be buried there. Places seem to lie in wait To summon up the tears. They say, "Remember yesterday Those days when he was here? Places where we lived and laughed Are places where I cry. Those places hold the memories That will live as long as I." Three years have passed since you left. It still hurts. Life is so empty. I miss you Michael. I think of you every day. I love you so very much. Mom
