THERESA (TERRY) MARGARET TAYLOR, C.D. (nee BAKER) With deep sadness we announce the passing of Terry Taylor on Sunday, September 20, 2015. Terry is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Brian Taylor; children Judith Bargen Verrier (Denis) and Douglas Taylor (Debbie); grandchildren, Cale Bargen (Amy Flowers), Leeanne Bargen (Rob Berry), Brooke VanBussel (Glen), Sarah Taylor (Curtis Korchinski) and four great-grandchildren, Kate, Lauren, Bronwyn and Riley. Also surviving are sisters Molly (Rolly), MaryJane, and Kathleen (David); sisters-in-law, Tina and Maureen; brother-in-law Ian Taylor; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Dennis Bargen; parents, Emma and John; brothers, Joseph and Patrick; and sister, Nellie. Terry and Brian enjoyed a fun and busy life together. They would have celebrated 69 years of marriage on November 9. They really enjoyed winter holiday travel, spending many years in many different locations in the Caribbean, with the small island of Bequia being their favorite. Terry liked to be involved in many things, she always worked outside the home, at Ford Motor Co. and at Anchor Products for many years, both of which she enjoyed thoroughly, especially the friendships that were made! For 17 years Terry served in the militia, attaining the rank of W.O. 2nd Class. She loved the army! Curling was another great joy in her life, she was a past president at Deer Lodge Curling Club and other curling organizations. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue. Flowers are gratefully declined. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I am so deeply sorry for the loss of my amazing, funny, full of life Auntie Terry. I just heard this sad news yesterday (Aug 27/16). This beautiful lady always had a smile on her face and a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Uncle Brian,,,big hugs to you. Judy and Doug and your families...also big hugs. I always loved when the Winnipeg Taylor's came to the Okanagan for a visit. Our house was filled with laughter...never a dull moment. Auntie Terry's sense of humor was epic. She could have been a comedian. May God rest her soul. Although we didn't stay in touch much in recent years Auntie Terry, I will always fondly remember our times together. You were such a joy to know. - Posted by: Kerry (McCosh) Raitt (niece) on: Aug 28, 2016
