Outre son conjoint, elle laisse dans le deuil ses parents, Guy et Evelyne Delaquis, ses frères et soeurs; Josette (Cameron) Allen, Sylvain (Nicole Massé), Lise (Jean-Guy) Talbot, Bernard (Kelly) et ses neveux et nièces Nathan (Kristyn Campbell), Jean-Paul (Danielle), Gillian, Chloé, Sandrine, Viviane, René (Teghan Matlashewski), Colin, Katrine, Danica, Brielle et sa chère amie Gwen Pratt. Charpentière, ingénieure, puis professeure, Michèle était la plus heureuse lorsqu'elle travaillait sur sa ferme avec Rodrigue. Elle n'a jamais eu peur d'aller contre le courant. Le Manitoba, sa famille, ses amis ont toujours occupés une place importante dans son coeur. La tante un peu originale qui était toujours prête à offrir une autre paire de bras, elle nous manquera à tous. Selon les voeux de Michèle sa famille vous invite à un café informel à la salle du club de golf Saint-Boniface (100 chemin Youville) le lundi 28 septembre entre 15 h et 17 h. MICHELE DELAQUIS Michèle Delaquis of Baie des Sables, Quebec, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2015, at the age of 60. She leaves to mourn her spouse Rodrigue Potvin, her parents Guy and Evelyne Delaquis, her brothers and sisters: Josette (Cameron) Allen, Sylvain (Nicole Massé), Lise (Jean-Guy) Talbot, Bernard (Kelly), her nieces and nephews Nathan (Kristyn Campbell), Jean-Paul (Danielle), Gillian, Chloé, Sandrine, Viviane, René (Teghan Matlashewski), Colin, Katrine, Danica, Brielle, and her dear friend Gwen Pratt. Carpenter, civil engineer and teacher, Michèle was happiest working on the farm with Rodrigue. She always walked to the beat of her own drum. Manitoba, her family, her friends always had a special place in her heart. Her nieces and nephews would agree that Michèle always had a way of making them feel special and was always willing to give a helping hand. She will be missed. In keeping with Michèle's wishes, her family invites you to a casual reception at the St. Boniface Golf Club (100 Youville Street), on September 28, 2015 between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Michele, Gwen Pratt, and I were among a group of women that founded Embla Ltd. in the late 1970s. Michele with her design background came up with the logo that emblazoned our business cards, t-shirts, and van. She incorporated a plane (carpentry tool), the symbol for woman, and the name in a design that fully represented our company. We combined hard work, fun, training, laughter, and some tears while getting our Journeywomens tickets. We also formed a lasting bond. Michele was co-host of many memorable Hallowe'en parties- always with a great theme and invitations. She and I used to joke about my English only status. I once said after listening to her talking in French on the phone that I had actually recognized a word or two - Le Night shift. When I found out in August that she was sick, I sent her an e-mail that stated my opinion " #*&*^#*(all the symbols to denote swearing) Cancer". Her reply was "I agree and so Bilingual!!" Michele has left us far too soon. My thoughts are with you Rodrigue, Gwen, and all her family.
