Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE SCOTT KLING (nee BADDON) Peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, September 20, 2015, with family at her side, Mom went home to be with the Lord at the age of 95 years. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Pam (Vic) Goetz; her granddaughters, Mary, Anita (Scott) and Ruth (Alvis). She was also Aunt Jean to one niece and six nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1988, and her only brother Jimmy in 2004. Mom was born in Burghead, Morayshire, Scotland on October 19, 1919 and came to Canada four years later. She had many happy memories of growing up with Jimmy. She and Alex were married on June 26, 1946 and enjoyed 42 years together. She was a devoted mom and grandma who loved us dearly. She enjoyed baking, knitting and was a longtime member of John Black United Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and in later years Knox United Church until it became too difficult. In later years she made a return trip to Scotland to visit family. In 2008, it became our privilege to have Mom live with us for three years, during which time we enjoyed the trips together to see the family in California and Vegas. In 2011, she moved into Donwood. At this time we would like to thank the staff at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home not only for their loving care of Mom, but also of us in the last 10 days of her life. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Donwood Manor, 171 Donwood Drive, followed by refreshments and a private family ash interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to Donwood Manor Pastoral Care Fund, 171 Donwood Drive, Winnipeg, MB R2G 0V9.
