JAMES DARA STEVENS James Dara Stevens, 67, of White Rock, Kings County, NS passed away quietly at home on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, after battling cancer for a year. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Harll), of 36 years; his daughter, Crissie (Mark) and son, Tyler (Kim), both of Winnipeg, MB; his father, Dara, Kentville, NS; sisters, Judy (Laurie), White Rock, NS; Cathy (Rod), Halifax, NS; brother, Dale (Bonnie), Landmark, MB. He was predeceased by his mother, Lillian (Vandenburg). Jim was employed at the Moncton C.N.R. Shops until 1987, at which time he transferred to the Shops in Winnipeg, MB. After 18 years in Winnipeg, he and his wife retired to the Annapolis Valley, NS in 2005. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding on his 4-wheeler and participating in Tai Chi. Cremation has taken place and in keeping with his wishes, there will be a private family interment at a later date. We wish to thank our family, friends, the Palliative Care and the VON teams and the Red Cross, for their love, kindness and support. Donations in Jim's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
