Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD DAVID KUXHAUS On September 26, 2015 Ronald David Kuxhaus passed away peacefully at Middlechurch Home. Ron was predeceased by his wife Olga, parents David and Lydia Kuxhaus, sister-in-law Mary Sohor, brothers-in-law Nick Anderson and Ted Revak, niece Marianne Primeau and husband Don, and nephew Wade Anderson. He will be missed greatly by his children Lisa (Bob) Handkamer and David; grandchildren David, Dayna and Sam; brother Clifford (Barbara) Kuxhaus; sister-in-law Helen Revak; brothers-in-law Ken (Joyce) Anderson and Steve Sohor; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ron was born December 15, 1934. He grew up in the North End and attended Isaac Newton High School. He was a gifted athlete and went on to play football, hockey and baseball at Concordia College in Minnesota. Upon his return to Winnipeg, he married his high school sweetheart Olga on June 28, 1958. They lived happily together for almost 40 years until her passing in 1999. Ron spent his entire career working at the Winnipeg Free Press in the production department. He loved being part of the newspaper business and made many friends during his years at the paper. Upon retirement Ron and Olga enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and summers at their cottage in Ponemah. Ron always looked forward to his annual golfing and fishing trips with his family and long-time friends. Ron was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and placed a great value on being a man of integrity. Even when he could no longer live on his own due to dementia, Ron still reached out to others; whether it was a simple word of encouragement, the offering of a prayer, or physically helping other residents at Middlechurch Home. Ron will be remembered for his keen sense of humour and his love of life and a good time. His stories and memories will be forever etched in our hearts. He was a kind and generous soul. The world was a better place with him in it. Our family would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg who provided such wonderful care to Ron over the past two years and thank them for their warmth and compassion. In acceptance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 2 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2528 King Edward St. at Inkster Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Manitoba.

We all have lost our George Patton, our friend, mentor, and comedian of life. I will never forget the 30 degree plus days at cottage, when Uncle Ron would pull the blinds and say..." Its to hot out, lets just hunker down and catch the ball game" So many laughs. It's 3-2, and 2 out up top my friend. We all know u called the right pitch in life. God bless. - Posted by: Al Yascheshyn (Family) on: Sep 30, 2015
