GERMAIN June 19, 1927 - October 1, 2015 Marcel "Bob" St. Germain passed away on October 1, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Bob is lovingly remembered by his sons, Brian (Dorothy), Ken (Karl), Randy (Carrie); Daryl (Terry); and by his grandchildren, Sean, Mark, Brianna and Elise Marie. Our talented Dad was a true cowboy, musician and craftsman, these passions and his gentle spirit will be his legacy. Prayer Services and Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, (10827 24 St. SW), at 11:00 a.m. A Reception will be held at the church following the service. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Bob's memory directly to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, (20 Eglinton Ave. W., Ste. 1600, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8). My brother, Leo admired Marcel and being younger looked up to him. He used to tell me of the visits he had with Marcel and how he liked to play guitar with him. Marcel was my Godfather but unfortunately since I lived in Manitoba never got to see him often. It was really unique to meet him again at the St. Germain reunion in 2006 at Gerry's in B.C. I was honoured to have a picture taken with my Godfather and Godmother Evelyn Dowhaniuk, what a lovely memory.
