Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

Patricia & family – Just a small note to pass on my condolences. Doug Fieldhouse, a classmate of ours, let me know of Glen’s passing. I went to School with Glen all thru Laura Secord and Gordon Bell. There was a gang of us who chummed together. We had great times, and I have many fond memories. We hung out at many locations, but notably the confectionery store across from Laura Secord. We skated at the Portage skating rink, and we played sports on school and community teams. We bugged the teachers, and generally behaved like teenagers. We did do some mildly unsavory things. I’m sure Glen regaled you with many of these nefarious exploits. Glen was everyone’s friend. I remember him as a very kind person, not a mean bone in his body. He was always joking and kidding - always smiling. I can visualize all these fun times, with great pleasure. We never remained in touch – we all move on. I just wanted to let you know that many of us who remain, are thinking of him. And that after the grief, the good memories will sustain you. God Bless David Knowles, Ottawa - Posted by: David Knowles (school chum) on: Oct 07, 2015
