WILLIAM DONALD SNEESBY William Donald Sneesby, born in Winnipeg, 1932 to William Arthur Sneesby and Dinah (Goodall) passed on September 19, 2015, age 83 in Granite Bay, California. He leaves to mourn his eldest child the "superkid" Mrs. Kimberly Bate, his beloved wife in second marriage Teresa, son Roy, son Bruce and family, dear sister Mrs. Joyce Diane Bergson, and nieces Mrs. Linda Stafford and Mrs. Gail Hayman (Vancouver). He was sadly predeceased by nephew Paul Bergson. In his youth Bill spent happy summers at Ingolf and West Hawk Lake with 'The Sneesby Clan'. His grandfather was George Wilfred Goodall of Goodall Photo Company. William worked on the DEW line, married Carol-Anne Bate of Winnipeg's Bate and Bate Pharmacies in 1956, and became an electrical engineer (USA). Like his parents, William helped both strangers and friends.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Thank you for the beautiful and gracious note, my dear mother. You'd want to know that dad had suffered from Alzheimers for some years before his passing. In the late 80s I spent a wonderful day at Ingolf with the Sneesby relatives you remembered so well. I took a boat across the lake and as I approached the cottages I heard one of them yell, "That must be Bill's girl!" I look so like him. I'm thinking of you, mom and dad, William and Carol-Anne, in this Christmas season. I'm thinking of others with whom dad and I share blood and history. Thanks for the skates, father. May you find God's grace, and peace. Kimberly - Posted by: Kimberly Bate (Daughter) on: Dec 19, 2019

  • With all my sympathies in the loss of your father. Not so long ago George and Alice..Cecil Walter..all 8 of the clan then would have signed this book and remembered you here. Time will ease it ..my love. - Posted by: Carol Bate (family) on: Nov 28, 2015
