Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MOSEWICH (née DNISTRANSKY) March 9, 1923 - October 3, 2015 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of their beloved grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary, at the age of 92 on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her only child, Sharon, in 2002. Mary was born on March 9, 1923, and raised on the family farm near Olha, Manitoba. Growing up, she attended Marconi School and helped out on the farm with her brothers and sisters. As an adult, she lived in Winnipeg with her daughter Sharon for some time, working as a waitress, before returning to the farm to care for her mother. She remained on the farm until recently when she moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her grandchildren. Mary left lasting memories with every person she met. Spending time with her daughter and grandchildren brought Mary a great deal of joy, and she always looked forward to her trips to Winnipeg to visit with them. She took pleasure in making perogies for her family, as well as jams and borscht. She always looked forward to her daily phone conversations with her sisters. During summers, Mary enjoyed tending to her yard and garden, and hosting her family every time they came for a visit. At the age of 87 Mary went on her first flight to Toronto with her granddaughter, which she enjoyed immensely. Her warm smile and caring nature touched everyone she met. She will be lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren Jeremy (Jayne), Ryan (Renée), Tracy (Jason), great-granddaughter MacKenzie, and son-in-law Ernest. She will also be greatly missed by her sister Marge, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, close family, and friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Alex, her brothers Joseph and Peter, and her sister Anne. Prayers will be held at Rae's Funeral Home in Shoal Lake, Manitoba on Thursday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of St. Michael in Olha, Manitoba with interment to follow. Arrangements entrusted to Rae's Funeral Service, Shoal Lake, MB, 204-759-2160.

Our hearts are with you at this time of Aunty Mary's passing. She adored spending time with you kids and always passed along how everyone was doing. We were honoured to have a little get together last summer in Winnipeg and see Aunty Mary one last time. I will miss her and hearing from her every year at Christmas. Hugs to you all. May her memories be with you and know how much she loved you! Joann & Brian - Posted by: Joann Dnistransky & Brian Jepson (Niece) on: Oct 06, 2015
