EARNESTINE LOUIS PELKEY (nee POITRA) Peacefully on October 13, 2015, at the Maples Personal Care Home, Erna passed away after a long, hard battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Raymond (Donna), her daughter Melanie; two grandsons Adam (Melissa) and William; her granddaughters Dawn-Vanessa and Louise; great-grandchildren Kara and Remy; sister Flavia; brother Art (Jean); and stepdaughters Joy and Vicki (Del). She was predeceased by her mother (1963), father (1969), son William (Billy) (1987), daughter Kimberley (2007), her four sisters, Lillian, Albertine, Laura and Clara, and her three brothers, Joe, David and Alex. Erna was born in Boggy Creek December 15, 1929. She came to Winnipeg at a young age and worked in the food service industry. After getting married, Erna stayed home to raise her children. Erna had a great heart of gold and was always willing to share whatever she had with anyone in need. She loved to play bingo and cards, plus all family gathering. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at the Nairn-Chyz Funeral Home in Roblin, Manitoba (204-937-2111), 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2015 with a luncheon to follow. Interment following the luncheon in San Clara. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Canadian Cancer Society. Miss me, but let me go.
