Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH REILLY COWIESON It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Reilly Cowieson on October 7, 2015, at the age of 88. Betty was predeceased by her husband Bill, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her son Brian (Raelene), granddaughters Kiarra and Keshia, three great-grandsons Kaiden, Kye and Leaf, and her many nieces and nephews. Born December 28, 1926 in Glasgow, Scotland, to John and Christina Arthur. She was raised in Glasgow, Scotland along with her seven brothers and sisters. Elizabeth married her life partner William on May 1, 1948. In May of 1957 the family immigrated to Canada, settling in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She worked as a Nurses Aide, retiring to their acreage in the municipality of Lac du Bonnet. Elizabeth and William were very proud of the home they built in retirement, and it was evident in the pristine flower gardens and the care given to the property. They both enjoyed socializing with their many friends, dancing, listening to Scottish music, spending time with their beloved dog Scotty, and took great pleasure in feeding wild birds and watching the wildlife. Betty was predeceased by her parents John and Christina Arthur; brothers, Gordon and George, and her sister Isabel. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff of the Whitemouth Personal Care Home for their compassion and the wonderful care given to Mom during her time with them. They enabled her to have a peaceful and easy journey to the other side, and for this we are forever grateful. A celebration of Betty's life will take place at her son, Brian Cowieson's home, 4292 Highway #44 on Wednesday, October 22, 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Elizabeth's name to the Whitemouth Personal Care Home, Whitemouth, Manitoba. Deep peace of the running waves to you. Deep peace of the flowing air to you. Deep peace of the watching shepherds to you. Deep peace of the Son of Peace to you. Amen.
