LUCIE LAMBERT (née BONNETEAU) After a very courageous battle with cancer, Lucie passed away on October 10, 2015 with her children at her side. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Vanessa (Rob) Lambert Harris, son Daniel (Anjuli) Lambert, her granddaughters Brooke, Presley, Hayley (Andrew and Layla), and grandsons Noam, Pierce and Brendan. Lucie was predeceased by her parents Bernadette and Henri Bonneteau, her brother Ron Bonneteau, and nephew Eric Bonneteau. Lucie also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters: Michelle Bonneteau, Lorraine (Andy) Schultz, Jackie Schultz, Gilbert (Joyce) Bonneteau, Pauline (Bob) Fedoruk, Roger (Doreen) Bonneteau, Louise (Fred) Hodgkinson, Marie (Rene) Gautron, and Diane (Dick) Krause, and many, many nieces and nephews. Lucie spent the last 13 years working for the Province of Manitoba, where she made many long-lasting friendships. As well, special life-long friends were there selflessly by her side when they were truly needed during this last, very difficult year. Lucie was a petite woman, with a big heart and was full of so much courage. Lucie saw the good in people, even if they were unable to see it in themselves and would always let them know it. She was not afraid to stand up and defend those that could not defend themselves. A very special wish of Lucie's was realized this past summer, when she was able to attend her son Daniel's wedding in Germany in August. The family wishes to thank all those whose hard work and tireless efforts made that dream become a reality. Our "Feisty Little Lucie" fought her battle with cancer with dignity, bravery and courage. Lucie has now gone to join those loved ones who have gone before her and we know that they will welcome her with open arms. We will miss her deeply with all our hearts. It is only knowing that she is now without pain, that we can accept this as God's will and will keep her forever in our hearts. In compliance with Lucie's wishes, a private celebration of her life has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. The family would also like to thank the wonderful, compassionate doctors and nurses who cared for Mom at CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview Health Centre.
