PATRICIA ROMAS It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Romas, at 68 years, on October 9, 2015 at the Grace Hospital, with her family at her side. Patricia leaves behind her loving husband Richard; two daughters, Tracy (Gary) Luedtke and Nadine Romas; and granddaughter Kristin Luedtke, whom she absolutely cherished and adored. Patricia was born in Winnipeg and enjoyed wonderful times at their Lee River cottage. She will always be remembered as a fantastic cook and for her larger than life heart. Patricia had a gift of making people/family feel welcome and special. Her bubbly personality touched many people from family to strangers at a grocery store. Patricia not only loved her pet rabbits, but also had a love for the neighbourhood birds and rabbits that would come to her backyard for a little snack. Until her retirement, she enjoyed her work in the Payables department at New Flyer Industries for about 30 years and was very passionate about her job. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. The family wishes to express their gratitude and many thanks for the care and compassion shown by all the Grace Hospital staff, particularly Dr. Mooney and nurses, Tara and Maria in ICU. Special thanks also go out to her Windsor Park neighbours, David, Joanne, Nancy and Everett, who were always there for her. A private family ceremony to celebrate Patricia's life will be held. The family wishes to thank friends and co-workers for their support and strength during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation can be made.

  • We were very sad to hear of your passing at such a late date. We will always remember the happy times, growing up with your eight siblings on the farm in Cook's Creek, where you were raised by your loving parents, Ksenia and Steve Kravetz, which they have now embraced you with open arms along with your four siblings. Rest in peace and look out for each other - Posted by: Sisters () on: Oct 26, 2015

  • Sorry to hear of your loss, Pat was larger than life and had a wonderful sense of humor. She always spoke about her granddaughter and how she loved her time spent together. There are so many fond memories of Pat, showing up to work hours before she was to start.. Always a very happy person and every one enjoyed being around her. She usually had her coworkers laughing with her at least once a day. - Posted by: Jan Voss ( Mashinter) (Co-worker) on: Oct 26, 2015
