JAMES W. MILLIGAN December 20, 1921 - October 18, 2015 Uncle Jim was born in Winnipeg and lived in the city all his life. He served our country for six years during the Second World War with PPCLI and travelled all through North Africa and Europe. He said it was a million dollar experience that he wouldn't pay a nickel to do again. After returning from the war, he found employment at Standard Aero and worked there until he retired at the age of 63. He loved to work with electronics and woodworking and was very proficient at both. He lived a nice long, full life and enjoyed his retirement to the fullest. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Caroline and his siblings, Ivy, Jessie and George. He leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews, who will always remember Uncle Jim and have fond memories of him. Many thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Home for their caring and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Rest in Peace Uncle Jim

  • I worked with Jim at Standard Aero Engines from 1957 to 1960. Nice guy and he treated me a new immigrant to Canada very well. Rest in Peace Jim. Say hello to Al Dyne if you come across him. - Posted by: John Weston (Work mate) on: Oct 26, 2015
