MARGARET LOUISE HOBSON (nee BRUDER) Louise passed this life at home peacefully on October 25, 2015, with her husband Ken and her son John at her side. Louise leaves for now her husband Ken Carroll and our children John Strong and his wife Sarah, Ryan Carroll and his partner Nate, and Catherine Carroll and her husband Michael, along with our grandchildren Justin, Christopher, Jessica, Farryn and Everitt, her pets Simba and Bobby, and her many other relatives and friends near and far. Louise was born in Winnipeg January 27, 1955. Louise was a registered nurse and often shared that her most rewarding times were working in Palliative Care at Riverview Health Centre. She also was in management at Beacon Hill Lodge and supervised opening and launch of the Heritage House Lodge. For 15 years she has enjoyed her work in the short term disabilities department at Great West Life where she made many dear friends. Louise's spirit has left her body and knowing it would happen she looked forward to being with her mother Dorothy Margaret Bruder and her precious cat Petie Pie along with those other precious spirits in her life who have gone before her. She believed that she will later be joined in that wonderful place by those spirits, in this life that she has left behind for now, that are precious to her. We miss you Lou and love you but know that your spirit and your love are only a thought away. In her life Lou enjoyed nature and saw its beauty and she enjoyed meeting old friends for the first time. She developed a passion for the well being of others, many of whom could not speak for themselves and especially other creatures of our world that may be harmed by our human activities. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. It is Lou's wish that, instead of flowers, a generous donation be made in her name to D'Arcy's A.R.C., a no kill animal shelter, at www.darcysarc.ca or 730 Century St., Winnipeg, MB R3H 0M1, Canada.
