ROBERT (BOB) BLAKE HUNT June 15, 1944 - October 31, 2015 Peacefully, with family by his side, Bob passed away at the Grace Hospital on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years of marriage, Gertie; son, Barry (Diane) and children Tracy, Travis; son, Raymond (Alison) and their son Thomas; brothers, Brian (Dale), Bruce (Joanne); sisters, Jill (Paul Dunn), Joy (Dave Smith) and many nieces and nephews. At the age of 17, Bob enlisted in the RCAF and spent five years at various air bases. He worked at Midwest Diesel for two years. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • We met Bob and his wife Gertie through a MS social group. Bob was a very friendly person and easy to talk to. We enjoyed many Goldeyes games together, although we did more chatting than watching the games. Bob was down to earth, he certainly had a wonderful way of telling a story. He will be deeply missed. Our hearts go out to Gertie and his family. - Posted by: Jenny and Troy Bailey (Friend) on: Nov 07, 2015

  • Had the privilege of being his mailman for the past few years and he was a good man to talk with we had many conversations of the years gonna miss him dearly RIP BOB - Posted by: Shawn (Their mailman) on: Nov 06, 2015

  • Bob was my neighbour boy when I was a kid. I remember him as a kind, fun loving, person. There were many years of a bunch of us walking to Silver Heights School together. I remember Bob, Grant Day, Ray Lovell, Art Baker and Norman Standard all playing football on the street on Vernon Road. I haven't seen Bob in many many years but often think of him and our gang. I send my condolences to Gert and the family. - Posted by: Carol Tomes (Sommerfield) (Friend) on: Nov 06, 2015

  • Bob has been a great friend as well as brother. We have enjoyed many happy times with Bob & Gert. Bob had a fine touch with all things mechanical. He regularly set me straight on car & house repairs. Bob & Gert made a great team as witnessed by their 49 years of marriage. Bob left this earth on his own terms. For that we are grateful. - Posted by: Bruce Hunt & Joanne Mackinnon-Hunt (Brother& sister-in-law) on: Nov 04, 2015

  • I met Bob through his brother Bruce, and enjoyed many holiday get togethers at both Bruce's and Bob's homes. He was a great person, and I always enjoyed visiting with him. He will be missed. - Posted by: Don Crossman (friend) on: Nov 04, 2015
