Date of Passing: Nov 02, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER PETROCOVICH With great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Peter Petrocovich. He passed away on November 2, 2015, at the age of 88 years. He leaves to mourn his wife, Anne (Euler), to whom he was married for 59 years; his daughters, Carol (Larry Kurtz), Janna (Ted Becker); and the light of his life, his granddaughter, Reece Becker. Dad was born to John and Annie (Slota) Petrocovich in Oakbank, Manitoba on May 23, 1927. He grew up in Vermilion Bay and eventually settled in Kenora. Peter retired from the Boisie Cascade Paper Mill in 1986. He spent time travelling, gardening, camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. His greatest love was his family and he was delighted to become a grandfather for the first time in 2004. He treasured spending time and sharing stories with Reece. There was always time for them to match wits and for Papa to lose one more game. Words cannot describe the profound appreciation we have for the staff of Pinecrest. Their professionalism, compassion, and time spent with Peter provided much comfort to the family. Cremation has taken place and a gathering of immediate family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations gratefully accepted to Pinecrest Home Auxiliary, 1220 Valley Drive, Kenora, ON P9N 2W7 or a charity of your choice. Remember him with a smile today He was not one for tears Reflect instead on memories Of many happy years.
