ROSEMARY MASKOW (nee BURKOWSKI) July 16, 1969 - October 30, 2015 It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of our loving mom, sister, aunt, grandma and friend Rosemary Maskow on Friday, October 30, 2015, at the age of 46 years, with family by her side. Left to mourn Rosie's memory are her son, Dylan (Caitlin), who was her ultimate pride and joy; granddaughter, Lucy ("Gamma's little girl") who always brought a smile to her face and brightened her day; special friend, Brad Papko; sisters, Elaine (Dennis Poirier), Norma (Ed Bordush), Val, Pat and families; in laws, Maureen and Wilfred and brother's-in-law, Kurt (May) and Trent (Roxanne); nieces and nephews, Kaleigh (Colton) and Brendon Poirier, Amber and Ashley, Mary Maskow, Donavin Skogan and Harley Maskow and uncles, aunts and cousins. Rosie had a bubbly, outgoing personality with a contagious laugh. She always lit up a room with her big smile. Her family was always first, especially her son Dylan. She had a special way with kids and was especially proud of Lucy. Rosie was a hard worker. She spent many years working as a health care aide, teacher's aide and cook. Rose was a passionate animal lover and an amazing cook always preparing delicious lunches. On Saturday, November 7, 2015, Rosie's Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Inwood Memorial Community Center, Inwood, MB with Rev. Fr. James deBeer presider. Interment will follow in the Inwood Cemetery. We would like to thank the first responders, EMS, doctors, nurses and staff at the Stonewall Hospital for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Teulon Fire Department or Winnipeg Humane Society. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB in care of arrangements 204.897.4665. Rosie or Rose Petal as we liked to call her was a very special friend to Wayne and I and to many many others. She could make you laugh and she could make you cry and then laugh again all in the same conversation. We will miss her dearly. - Posted by: Margaret Fisher-Lauk (Friend) on: Nov 04, 2015
