STANLEY (STAN) JOHN SOBIESKI Peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2015, Stanley John Sobieski passed away at Victoria Hospital, at the age of 88 years. Remaining to cherish Stan's memory are his wife, Dorothy of 69 years of marriage; daughter Jennifer; extended family of in-laws; nieces; nephews; good friend Ken Allen; and the staff at Parkside Ford. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Louise; brother Louis (Nellie); sisters Nellie (Nick) Swatiuk, Jennie (Edward) Friedrich and Gladys. On March 8, 1927, Stan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was a loving and caring father to his daughter Jennifer. Stan, Dorothy and Jennifer enjoyed the many years at their cottage in Grand Marais, Manitoba. He enjoyed boating, fishing and the friendships with his neighbouring cottagers. A memorial service will be held for Stan on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the Heritage Room of Lindenwood Manor, 475 Lindenwood Drive East, Winnipeg, Manitoba, with Rev. Mary Best, presider. The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care.
