Although I didn't see Darlene that often, the times I did see her, were filled with laughter. She could always light up the room, and could see humor in most things. I loved to sit beside her for meetings or training sessions. When the work day was over, we would always get together for a short while, just to catch up. You will be missed Darlene. My deepest sympathy to her family. - Posted by: Sharon G. (Co-Worker/Friend) on: Nov 14, 2015

To the Cater and Sparks families, I am so saddened to hear of your loss. From the time that we met at my Sister's, your Aunt Theona and Uncle Dick, a long time ago in Thompson we were forever connected. Arch, myself and the kids all loved you. You were always so funny and we had lots of laughs. I have so many fond memories of all of the dinners, card games and get togethers. I also remember you coming in to see me a few times over the years in BC when you were out this way. I love you and will miss you. Rest in Peace Darlene. Deepest sympathy to Linsey and family and Barb and family ,Darlene was my forever friend , we met in stevenville many years ago at school , every weekend on Friday afternoon we'de skip school and jump on a buss for grand falls . Will I missed so much school they were going to kick me out. So the next time I would need a doc note. Me being to shy To go . My great friend went and said she was Iris Patey and had a sore throat .sure enough she showed back up with the note ! I'm here in Nl. Trying to explain her to my friends. She indeed was one of a kind . If you creep her on FB you'll find a prayer I wrote for her in 1978. A little immature , but meant ever word of it. I will love her for eternity , fly with the angels my forever friend . Until we meet again . Xo - Posted by: Iris Patey Dobbin (Forever friend ) on: Nov 05, 2015
