BRENDA KITZ Peacefully in her 94th year on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Cummer Lodge. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Kitz. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Marion Kitz and Alexander Langford of Winnipeg, Harry and Ava Kitz, and the late Richard Kitz. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Basil and Estelle Rubin. Adored grandmother of Michael, Jenny, Adam and Celyn, Sarah, Simon, and Paul. Brenda was born in Montreal. She was a quietly, extraordinary woman. From the age of 18 to 25, she was a flautist in the Montreal Women's Symphony Orchestra. In 1947 she was swept off her feet by naval hero Lieutenant J.R. Kitz, RCNVR. Upon marriage, they moved to Halifax and then to Toronto. Brenda was a lifelong member of Hadassah WIZO, Aviva Chapter. She studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design where she gained her diploma in Fine Arts-Sculpture, later becoming a member of the Ontario Society of Artists. Brenda's sculptures are in public and private collections across Canada. Many thanks to Grace Sanchez, Gabby Rances, and Sharon Olaguer for their attentive and affectionate care. A graveside service will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Temple Sinai Section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery, 10953 Dufferin Street, Maple. Shiva 47 Douglas Avenue.
