While I was doing some research of my past at Brooklands School, I remembered some class photos of my grade 3 in 1947-48, when Miss Lawrence was my teacher. We renewed our acquaintance in 1986 at the Red School Reunion and exchanged names from the class photo. We also had in common my relatives who lived in Teulon. I learned of her passing at the age of 107 and regretted that I never followed up with her on my visits with my Mother in Winnipeg. She too lived a long life, almost 102 years. Some people have a long lasting effect on us. - Posted by: Billy Tataryn (student) on: Sep 07, 2020

I learned of Ethel Irene Drummond during my research of the Alexander and Isabella McRae family of Toney River, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. My great-great-grandmother was Nancy Ann (McRae) Fraser And the eldest sister of Ethel’s grandfather, Roderick McRae. Ethel was very interested in her McRae family roots and collected a great deal of information on the McRae family which she happily shared with others. We McRae descendants have all benefited from the research done by Ethel for which many are grateful. Thank you Ethel. Yours was a life well-lived. - Posted by: Robert Stoddard (McRae Relative) on: Jul 01, 2020
