Nick and Joan were friends with my parents before I was born, so I knew Nick for more than 50 years. He had a great sense of humour, was always quick with a funny story, and brought with him a cheerful energy to every get together. He was hard working, extremely dedicated to his family and friends, and was always willing to lend a hand in any situation. The courage that he demonstrated through multiple heart surgeries and the loss of his leg, while continuing to live his life to the fullest, was inspiring to all who knew him. He truly was one tough customer, and we will all miss him! - Posted by: Wayne Demkey (Friend) on: Nov 12, 2015

I met Nick 33 years ago at Red River College. He was the best guy I ever worked with, full of funny stories and great laughs. His incredible energy never ceased to amaze me. His generosity knew no bounds always lending a helping hand, his kindness was limitless especially when he found his dog Buddy a new home in our care. Cindy and I will forever remain grateful, and Buddy is still doing well. Nick, you will forever remain in our thoughts, and hearts. - Posted by: Glen and Cindy MacRae (Friend) on: Nov 12, 2015

Nick had a way to bring out the best in people. His sarcasm and joking manner were always a pleasant treat, and he could take it just as well as he could dish it out. I don't think I have ever met anyone who could come up with the one liners and quick come backs quite like Nick could. He was a great man who will be dearly missed. There are so many things that can be said about Nick, but I know that myself and all those he has touched are richer people just for knowing him. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. I love you all - Posted by: Carri Kirsch (friend of Christine and Dave) on: Nov 10, 2015

Mr. Billey was like a 2nd dad to a lot of us growing up. He would always come and watch us play hockey, baseball and join us in all the festivities afterwards. We had a few Grey Cup Parties in the Biley's basement and till this day we still talk about those times. I remember Mr Billey tried to convince all of us to try smoked Catfish in the BBQ during one of our baseball bbq's. It was the worst tasting fish we had ever had, but still chocked some down not to hurt his feelings. Mr Billey would love when you would stop over and have a drink with him, and talk about us growing up. Mr. Billey wasn't shy to tell you what was on his mind if you were acting up, that's one of the things i like most about him. We will miss you Mr. Billey, you weren't just a friends dad, you were like one of our friends to us. May you rest in peace, and i'll pour a Scotch on the rocks and have to toast to you. Our Deepest Sympathy to the Family. Jamie and Wendy. - Posted by: Jamie. Z (Friend of Dave) on: Nov 09, 2015
