Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Jean was a lovely lady, so accommodating, friendly and appreciative and obviously a good mother to her sons. I remember baby-sitting them as a teenager when the family lived in North Kildonan. I also know my own mother loved spending time with this small group of women (that included Jean) who lived in the area, played cards, knitted, baked, shared news & a glass of wine, then walked home at night down Bonner or Strood. Market gardens and mink ranches dotted the area but it was safe. Jean loved company and being invited out to social gatherings. I know she and her husband spent many long years together, moved to BC, then returned to Winnipeg. It was nice to spend some time remembering those days with Jean and my own mother - a generation now taking leave of this planet. God bless her and her family. - Posted by: Yvonne LeSeach Baert (Friend) on: Nov 09, 2015

  • So many wonderful memories of my Auntie Jean, you were a very special lady. I will always treasure my time spent with you during our family's many visits to the farm in Stonewall. - Posted by: Irene Benjamin (niece) on: Nov 09, 2015
