Born: Feb 07, 1928
Date of Passing: Nov 12, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNETTE PAPINEAU (COULOMBE) February 7, 1928 - November 12, 2015 Peacefully, with family by her side, Annette passed away on November 12, 2015 at the age of 87 at the Pinawa Hospital. It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our mother, memere, sister, aunt and friend. Mom was predeceased by her husband Rene; son Ronald; her parents Ulric and Yvonne (Daignault) Coulombe; sisters, Simone, Juliette, Lucille, Jeanine, Edmee and brothers, Edmond, Alfred, John and Lionel. She leaves to cherish her memory her sole remaining sister Rita and her family. Her legacy lives on in her children Ed (Karen), Rachelle (Georges) and Linda (Grant). Memere will be terribly missed by her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom she was so proud. We are all so privileged to have had Annette as our mom and mentor. Annette was born in Fannystelle, MB in 1928. She met Rene just before he left to war and when he returned to her they were married in 1947. They went from living in converted boxcars to eventually settling in Powerview where they began their business in Papineau Motors. Her final residence was the 55 plus Winnipeg River Manor which dad helped establish a few years back. Mom kept herself busy as bookkeeper for their business and raising her family. Over the years mom kept her fingers busy cooking, cleaning, knitting, crocheting and playing cards. As busy as she was, mom always looked her best, not a hair out of place, her nails carefully painted and of course lipstick on that big beautiful smile. Dad and mom spent many a weekend at "Happy Lake" creating lasting memories with family and friends. Many crib games and fish stories were enjoyed! The family would like to thank the Pine Falls Hospital, Selkirk Emergency and Pinawa Hospital staff for the time and devotion they gave to our mother, especially Jinu, and last but not least, the EMS personnel who were there for mom and our family. Your professionalism, caring and understanding made a difficult time a little bit easier. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annette's memory may be made to St-Georges Cemetery or Winnipeg River Manor. A Mass of the Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the St-Georges Catholic Church, St. Georges, MB with interment to follow at the St-Georges cemetery. Annette & Rene were our best friends for all the years we were in Powerview and for many years later we kept up our friendship through cards, phoning and visiting. Our many great memories of playing cards fishing and volunteering have never been forgotten. Our last phone call to Annette in the Spring is one we will now fondly remember. Annette always said "we were the best of friends". So good-bye dear friend you will love your new home back with Rene. - Posted by: Leo & Marg Nielsen ("Best" friends for many years.) on: Nov 18, 2015

So many fond memories of my cousins Linda, Ron, Ed and Rachelle with my Uncle Rene and Aunt Annette. As our family grew I was blessed with Grant Cyr, Karen Berthelette and Georges Laurin. Not to mention Amanda and Samantha, Pam, Kirby and Joy, and Marc and Ginette and still going. I miss all tremendously and am in their hearts as they grieve the loss of their mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Growing up in the same town … Powerview, we were and are a close knit family. I am proud and privileged to be a part of their life. Love all of you from the bottom of my heart. Peace and Love … Corinne. - Posted by: Corinne Gawriluk (Niece to Annette.) on: Nov 17, 2015
