IRENE LAURA MCIVOR (OLSON) Suddenly and peacefully on November 15, 2015 at the Grace Hospital, Irene, aged 84 years, passed away with family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lindsae (Garnet), son Geoff (Audrey), daughter-in-law Sandy, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandsons, as well as brothers Laurence and Bob, sister-in-law Betty, several nieces and nephews, and dear friend Shirley. She was predeceased by her husband, John of 62 years, in 2012, sons Leon in 2011 and Ronald in infancy. She was also predeceased by her parents, brother Almer, sister Nellie, sisters-in-law Linda, Shirley, Martha, Mary and Margaret, and brothers-in-law Verne, Hank, Bill, Hector, Art and Mike. She was a wonderful homemaker, cook and gardener. Her freezer and cupboards were always full. She enjoyed watching her sports Blue Jays and curling. She and Dad enjoyed several casino and shopping trips to the States. At her request, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made a charity of their choice. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of 3S of the Grace Hospital for their compassion and kindness shown to Mom and our family.
