Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJERRY ALLEN ZIOLKOSKI On Monday, November 18, 2015, after a lengthy struggle with Parkinson's disease, Jerry passed away at the age of 69. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Diane of 48 years; his precious daughters, Lisa and Tammy and the light of his life, his granddaughter Mickayla. He was predeceased by his son Paul in 1970; brother Rick in 1967; and parents Peter and Dorothy. Jerry is also survived by his siblings Diana, Tom (Pat), Ray, Sharron (Cam), Peter, Susanne, David (Donna), Aarron, Glen (Colette), Anne (Dave), and their families. Also in-laws Agnes (Urselin), Denis (Nita), Alice, Jeanine (Peter H.), and their families. As well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Jerry took great satisfaction in being a "family man" and was looked up to as being the ultimate "father figure" and role model to so many. Jerry was born in Lockport and moved to Elmwood as a teenager, then worked at Bristol Aero and had a long career at Canada Post. His biggest enjoyments in life involved family events, watching his "three" girls play sports, the cottage and being outdoors, classic cars, fishing, travelling, music, movies, golfing, and winters at Trailriders in Mesa. The family wishes to thank all of the staff from Concordia Hospital for their ongoing care and compassion over the last months, as well as the team from Access River East who were involved in his care. There will be a celebration of Jerry's life and luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the Elmwood Legion, 920 Nairn Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, those who wish can make a donation to the Parkinson's Society Manitoba 204-786-2637 or www.parkinson.ca. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day...unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and still very dear".
