When I was doing my M.Sc. Gord Dundas steared me to the office of the good reverend. It was a hard time for me, and after Ron left U.of M. I went to talk to him about my career when he was at a church somewhere up main street outside the city. In "Absent Friends" in Bight of the Lamprey: The Good Rev. was a wonderful friend and some of what he taught me shows up (Doogie is UnNamed because he taught me ‘unnaming’) in my writing. He was an active science fiction fan whom I lost track of while in Qatar. I remember drinking and talking for two hours a day during much of my research time at U.of M. in his office and learning theology. - Posted by: Edward Buchan Wilson, P. Eng., M. Sc., P.E.
