Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDESMOND THOMAS JOHNSTON 1925 - 2015 Desmond died peacefully on November 26, 2015, surrounded by his family. He is survived and missed by his loving wife Betty (Elizabeth), of 61 years, daughter Anne (Bob), sons Michael, David (Patti) and Kieran (Ann Marie), as well as 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Desmond was born in Ireland, came to Canada in 1953 and settled in Winnipeg in 1961. He was an active member of Christ The King Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed traveling, music, theatre, watching sports, discussing history and politics. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m., at Christ The King Church, 847 St. Mary's Rd., followed by a reception in the hall. Flowers gratefully declined.
