Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOLITA BATALLA April 4, 1949 - November 28, 2015 It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Lolita on November 28, age 66 years. She was predeceased by her Father Cornelio Batalla. She is survived by her loving mother Catalina Batalla, her brothers Romeo Batalla (Pacing) Phils, Onofre Batalla (Editha) Phils., Cipriano Batalla (Ella) Phils., Edgardo (Teresa), her sisters Rosalinda (Paquito) from Port Coquitlam, BC, Aida (Antonio) Juruena from Davao City, Philippines, Marcelina (Aurelio) Alcisto, Elvie Batalla, Leo (Jeannine) Batalla. Nieces and Nephews; Michelle (Patrick) Beggs, Charlene (Colby) Appleby, Maylinda Urbina, Catherine (Tony) Tran, Edgar Michael Batalla, Diane Tamayo (Mike), Ryan Batalla. She will be deeply missed by all her grandnieces/nephews; Ava and Kayla Beggs, Everett and Catalina Appleby, Owen Anthony and Sophia Lynn Tran, Angelica and Angelo Tamayo and Declan Thomas Cuthbert, Aleeyah Batalla as well as nephews/nieces and great-grandnephews/nieces in the Philippines. Lolita cherished her friends, as well as all her co-workers at Pulford Community Living, she loved to travel in Mexico and cruises in the Carribean. She loved cooking, shopping for clothes, getting her hair and nails done. She was very fussy about her clean house and clean dishes. Lolita will always be remembered for being a wonderful and generous sister and auntie who is always there to help. "I feel the warmth upon my face as I enter the land of God's good grace, Friends and loved ones gone before, waiting here beyond the door. With open arms they welcome me, amazement in my eyes they see. They look so well and at their best, beauty beholds them now they rest." The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and also to Fr. Rodrigo Lazarte of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Transcona. Viewing/Lamay will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street at 7:00 p.m. to midnight, Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Keewatin St., Msgr. Enrique Samson Jr. celebrant. Interment will be at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. followed by a reception for family and friends.
