Born to Thomas Spooner and Sarah Annie Graveson in Fort William (now Thunder Bay), Ontario on August 11, 1927, Marion was the youngest of five children. While working for the Bank of Montreal, she met the love of her life William (Bill) Loney in Thunder Bay. Bill and Marion married July 5, 1952 and for the rest of their days they were devoted to each other. With Bill in the Toronto Dominion Bank, Marion moved often throughout Ontario, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, living in Thunder Bay, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Moose Jaw and Winnipeg before moving to Halifax to be closer to family in 2009. Mom believed that moving was an opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy new places. Predeceased by her brothers Joe and Jack, by her sisters Winnie and Ruth, by her beloved infant daughter Patricia Ann Loney, and by Bill in 2004, Marion is survived by sons James Loney of New York City and Bob Loney, daughter-in-law Elaine Loney and grandson Stephen Loney all of Halifax. Always optimistic, Marion will be remembered by her many friends and family for her sunny disposition, her love of life, her kind and gentle nature and her devotion to her family. Special thanks to the friends and staff at Parkland Estates, Clayton Park who helped make Mom's days in Halifax so enjoyable and to the staff and doctors at the Palliative Care Unit of the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax for making Marion's last days comfortable and peaceful. MOM WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU. In accordance with Marion's wishes, there will be no funeral.
