MARIE ANNE KLIEWER (nee FAST) Early on the morning of November 30, 2015, Marie Anne Kliewer passed away at age 86 in Winnipeg, MB. Her night nurse was singing "Silent Night" as Marie left this earth to be with her Creator. The family wishes to thank the Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home administration and staff for the good, loving care she received there. Marie was born to Henry D. and Helena Fast on January 15, 1929 in Kleefeld, MB. She loved music, singing, reading, creative writing, travel, involvement in Christian Women's Clubs, her children and grandchildren, her large, extended family and her many friends. Marie was predeceased in death by her husbands, Henry P. Friesen, Clarence Funk and Albert Kliewer; her daughter-in-law, Lorelei Friesen; and five of her nine siblings. Mourning her death are her children, Ronald (Seattle, WA), Marla Kerr (Winnipeg, MB), Reginald and his wife, Wendy (Winnipeg, MB), Gerald and his wife, Becki (Kalispell, MT); their children and grandchildren, as well as the children of Clarence Funk and Albert Kliewer, together with their families. A public memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church.
