Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR PAUL DRUL August 8, 1940 - December 4, 2015 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Victor in Winnipeg MB., with family by his side, at the age of 75 years. Vic was predeceased by his father Peter and mother Jessie, brothers Dennis and Boris. He is survived by his daughters, Rosemarie (Rick) and Donalda (Guy); wife Edda; extended family Gary (Heather); grandchildren Matthew, Kelsey and Kurtis; siblings Olecia, Nestor, Martha, Leona (Ken) and many nieces and nephews. Vic went to school in Menzie and Elphinstone, MB and farmed the family farm until he moved to Winnipeg to attend High School. He then attended the University of Manitoba, graduating in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Chemistry. Victor was the Head of Testing Services (Highways, Bridges, Floodway, large Infrastructure) for 33 years at the Department of Highways, Government of Manitoba. Victor had many skills and hobbies. He loved music of all types, especially Classical; he enjoyed electronics (built TVs, stereos), carpentry and had many hobbies such as, wine making, gardening, stain glass, cooking, skiing and curling. He also enjoyed time at the lake, boating, fishing, snowmobiling and relaxing with the family. Victor also loved and enjoyed the family pets. Victor greatly enjoyed traveling around the world (China, Asia, Central and South America, Caribbean, Alaska) with Edda during the last eight years. Victor was a thinker and a man of few words. He was a very kind, honest and good hearted man willing to help anyone when required. The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU of the Victoria Hospital, for their kindness, compassion and for providing a comfortable setting during our difficult time. Dad, We love you and will miss you forever. A celebration of Victor's life will take place on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul (Ukrainian Catholic) Church, 390 Marion St., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
