WILLIAM (BILL) G. WEBSTER On December 6, 2015 Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife Aileen; sons, Scott (Lauren) and Gavin (Kim) and his brother Wayne. Predeceased by his parents William and Marvelle; in-laws William and Mary Scott and Aileen's aunt Aileen McFetridge. Bill was born in Claresholm, Alberta and with his dad in the military, they lived in many places across Canada. He became an Electronic Technologist, working though out the country including the high Artic and in Churchill on the rocket range. In 1973, he moved to Winnipeg and began working for Transport Canada. He was a long time Cub and Scout leader, volunteered with the Lord Selkirk Boy Scout Pipe Band and was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church. Bill's favorite place was always the cottage at Lake of the Woods. He was always occupied working on his various projects. His many hobbies included racing motorcycles, reading, working on computers and wood-working. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Westwood Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Manitoba.

  • Bill and I became good friends after becoming acquainted through the WPCUG. (Computer club). This was just another of Bill's passions for which he had many. I really appreciated his mentoring on a variety of life's challenges. We also worked together for Elections CANADA during a few elections doing enumeration.
