HAZEL CAROLINE LIGHT (nee ZERKEE) After a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis our mother and grandmother, Caroline Light, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the age of 77 years. Caroline was born July 23, 1938, and was the youngest of 14 children. She is survived by her son Jim (Tanis); grandsons Erik and Andrew; sister-in-law Violet Zerkee, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Catherine Zerkee, as well as her brothers, John, William, Charles, David, Alexander (June, 2015) and Stanley, and sisters, Nellie, Gertie, Mary, Katherine, Mabel, Gladys, and Edith. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Centre, 7E, for their help, support and kindness for 15 years; most especially this past week. Cremation has taken place. A service to remember Caroline will be held on Monday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Deer Lodge Centre. Interment will take place in the summer of 2016 at the family plot in Oakville, MB. If so desired, donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division, 1465 Buffalo Place, Suite 100, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 1L8.
