Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL (DANNY) JOSEPH LAVALLEE March 4, 1948 - December 7, 2015 It is with great loss we announce the passing of Daniel J. Lavallee, (Danny, PePere), at the St. Boniface Hospital with his family and friends by his side. Predeceased by his parents Maria and John. Danny will be missed but always remembered by his brother Arthur (Jill), children Bernadette (Kevin) Claude and Pierre, grandchildren Chantel and Jimmy (great-grandchildren Lilly-Anne, Ava-Mae) Mathew and Kyla, Ashlee and Eric (great-grandchild Wesley) Cecily and Dillon, Bailey. Danny was a dedicated Winnipeg transit driver retired after 35 years of service. Danny was most dedicated to and remains a staple in his family's lives, selfless in his actions and always having others in mind. When not tending to the needs of others, Danny enjoyed keeping active either golfing, fishing or biking meaning nothing without some family and friends to do it with. Even relaxing watching the game having a session, always with family and friends. Danny is the definition of "Blood is thicker than water" and has established a permanent place in our hearts and memories. Art and Danny grow up very close to one and other. Danny was 11 years younger than Art. Danny was a Minny me of Art. They both love fishing, golfing , when they were younger. As time passed they still remained close, they both worked for Winnipeg Transit. They would met for coffee quite often. When I met Danny he welcomed me and my family as if we had know him for ever. When art went into the nursing home Danny would visit, and Art would ask Danny "got any smokes bro" Danny would always make sure he had a "smoke for Art" The pair of them would carry on a conversion in french as Art had reverted back to there native tongue.Even when art did not recolonize Danny, Danny would visit. Art may not understand that his brother has passed away, I know that in Art's heart Danny will remain there, and that Art will continue to love him, in his own way. We will miss you Danny, Rest in peace BRO. - Posted by: Arthur and Gillian Lavallee (Brother) on: Feb 22, 2016

Danny started just a few months after me at Transit. Have many fond memories of Danny when sharing a coffee at the Transit Garage or at a downtown coffee shop. Danny was ALWAYS in a good mood. May he R.I.P. - Posted by: Joe Majowski (Co-worker at transit) on: Dec 13, 2015
