Born Mary Ann Hrynyk in Caliento, Manitoba on September 11, 1927. Mary enjoyed a full and ambitious life, and will be remembered fondly by countless people who enjoyed the musical talents singing and accompanying her husband Peter's violin at weddings, festivals and events throughout Manitoba and neighbouring provinces. Audrey and Family - regretfully we are not able to be with you at this difficult time. Mary was a distinguished lady who has been a major part of our lives in good times and challenging ones. She was proud of their musical accomplishments however nothing gave her more pleasure then discussing her grandchildren and now her greatest joy was her great grandson. We will miss her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love Frank & Cynthia - Posted by: Frank & Cynthia (Cousin) on: Dec 19, 2015

Dear Audrey, so sorry to read of your mom's passing.I always loved going to your place when we first arrived in Canada from Australia. I have fond memories playing with Patsy and being graciously welcomed. Although life has taken us in different directions, those happy days stay with me. My sympathy to you and your family. Our family had the good fortune to experience all aspects of life with Mary. We all were lucky to love and be loved by her. Her life journey was not always easy but she persevered through it all with grace and always beat the odds. There is not a person who met her that didn't have something wonderful to say about her music, cooking or gardens. She was good person who loved life and experienced a lot during travels and the music she and Peter provided in the Ukrainian culture. We will always miss her. - Posted by: Adeline (Adie) Artibise (Sister) on: Dec 16, 2015

So sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. I will always remember the good times we had as kids at the weddings in Rainy River that your Mom and Dad played at, including my wedding. Gone are the "good old days", but the memories will remain. My condolences to you and your family and all your aunties. - Posted by: Caroline Manahan (Tesarsky) (Childhood friend) on: Dec 16, 2015
