DOMINIQUE GENEST-CROZIER It is with a heavy heart that we must advise that Dominique left us suddenly on Tuesday December 8, 2015, losing her long, hard battle against diabetes. She will be missed by her husband Andrew; her mother Celine Julien; her stepfather Bruce Hoffman; her brothers, Gabriel (Ariane) and Thomas Levesque; her brothers Philippe and Mathieu Genest (Marie-Hélène); also Andrew's family, Audrey, Sandra (Ken), Ian, Karen (Len); also her nieces: Emilie, Allison, Justine, Eden, Sara-Eve, Alicia and Laurence; and her nephews Tristan and Léo-Felix; and also her family in Quebec, France, England and Australia. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, December. 20, at Centre La Vérendrye, 2nd Floor, 614 Des Meurons Street from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the MIRA Foundation, who provided her beloved guide dogs Chloé and Picasso.

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I am in shock and deeply saddened by the news of Dominique's passing. I met her in 1991 doing theatre with the Chiens De Soleil troupe. We immediately hit it off with our similar dry and sarcastic sense of humour and she was my first friend out of high school where I had encountered a lot of bullying. Dominique taught me so much about friendship, keeping in touch with me from that point on and that even through the most challenging periods in life, that resilience, humility and belief in yourself are your best allies. I am saddened that we have lost such a talented spirit and I am reminded of a quote from the Le Petit Prince: "On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux". We can only truly see with our hearts. What is essential is invisible to the eyes. - Posted by: JP (Friend) on: Mar 20, 2016
