GARRY GOERTZEN It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Garry Goertzen on December 16, 2015, at the age of 78. Garry was a lover of the Whiteshell area. He spoke often of the summers spent there, boating, waterskiing, and fishing the waters. He was a gifted carpenter whose work showcased his love and talent of creating beauty from ordinary pieces of wood. He took great pride in the work he completed. He enjoyed reading and could often be found with a pencil and clipboard in hand working on his crossword puzzles. Garry leaves to mourn his passing his wife Sonia, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Also remembering Garry are his sisters Agnes and Sarah (Ben) and brothers John (Agathe) and Neil (Jan). He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, and daughter Kimberly. A tea honouring Garry will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Pinkerton's Residence, 46 Avon Gate, Winnipeg, MB.
