ANNIE KLASSEN (nee WIEBE) Annie Klassen, also known as Nana, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Colonia Menno, Chaco, Paraguay on July 13, 1954 to Cornelius and Anna Wiebe. Annie's family began there with former husband Jacob Klassen and children, Erich, Erwin, Carlos, Marwin and Wernie. She moved her family to Canada in 1980 where her youngest son, Ernie, was born. Annie spent her life being a selfless and nurturing mother to those she encountered. To those that knew her, she was an avid gardener and an extraordinary cook and baker. Annie is survived by her spouse, Wayne and her sons and grandchildren. A service in celebration of Annie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Church of God, 705 Concordia Ave. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.
