GRUTER December 13, 1948 - December 7, 2015 Erik lost his battle to cancer, leaving behind his beloved wife, Suzanne and siblings: Ina Tol, Netherlands; Irene (John) VanHoffen, Ontario; and Rudy (Maria) Gruter, British Columbia. Erik proudly wore the uniform of a police officer with 45 years of combined service with the RCMP, Winnipeg Police Department, and BC Transit Police. He will be remembered for his quick wit, quick smile, and concern and compassion for those in need. This obituary may also be viewed at www.devlinfuneralhome.ca

To you Dad, The moment that you died, my heart was torn in two. One side filled with heartache, the other died with you.
