  • We send our deepest condolences to Vern's girls, Shirley, Kari, Cathy and their families. We were shocked to hear of Vern's passing as we had just had a couple of meals with him before he left for Winnipeg and all was good. He truly missed Pat and there is some solace in knowing that they are together again. They were great neighbors and friends that we will miss so much. - Posted by: Barry and Evelyn Proceviat (friends) on: Dec 26, 2015

  • We have lost a neighbour, a fellow walker and above all a best friend. We know life on Heenan's Point, Lake of the Woods will never be the same again. Vern was a real pet lover and he will be forever missed by Splash who loved those quad rides. Vern missed Pat dearly but they will now be together for Xmas and I'm betting on a steak dinner. We are now left with a host of fond memories that will not soon be forgotten. We are deeply saddened by Vern's early and unexpected premature departure and will miss him greatly. • I want to send my condolences to my cousins and family. I know you probably don't remember me but we spent many Summer's at the lake with you guys. My mom, Edna, your dads sister, loved your dad (and your mom) so very much. I only heard of the passing of your mom yesterday, the same time I was told of your dad. I'm so very sorry. Losing both parents is very hard but when they pass just a few months apart it must be so very hard to believe or understand. I so want you to know how much my mom, as well as my sister Bev and I, appreciated your mom and dad coming out to Vancouver to visit mom as near the end she was not physically able to fly. She loved them so much. Take care and know we are thinking of you. Lorraine Silberman. Email. lorsil1362@icloud.com - Posted by: Lorraine Silberman (née Bogdan) (Niece) on: Dec 22, 2015
