Dear Peter, Diana, Mariana, Tetka Draga, and the entire Grivicic family, When we received the first news of our dear uncle's diagnoses, we prayed feverishly to God for his quick recovery, however unfortunately there appeared to be no medicine that could save him. We were then overwhelmed with grieving hearts when we received the sad news that our dear uncle had passed away. Tetak Mico always made us feel welcome and loved us as if we were his own children. He was undeniably the most eccentric, fun loving, kind and generous to each of us. He will be missed by all of us dearly. Many tears will be shed from his birthplace Perusic and all of Lika, as well as Kordun, Banija, many family members all over Croatia, Canada, America, Australia and around the whole world. Please accept our deepest sympathy from Slavy & family in Toronto, from Jackie’s family and Anita’s family from Vancouver, from your aunt and uncle Janjica and Mate in Vernon. May our dear Tetak Mico rest in eternal peace. - Posted by: families, Blazevic, Markac, Saponaro & Taylor-Lane (Siser and brother in law and nieces and their families) on: Dec 30, 2015

My brother and I worked with Milan (Mike), Tom and Pete at A-Active Plumbing. I was 17 years old. They called me Junior. I also worked for Mike at Standard Aero. He was a very good person. I remember playing soccer with him, he was very good at it, and then we would go have a BBQ at Tony Wellington in Anola. Marcel and I send our deepest sympathies. The world has lost a good man. Posebni ljudi žive u mom srcu i kad nisu pored mene. Sjećanje me tješi i hrabri nadu o postojanju nekog boljeg svijeta u vječnosti. U mislima sam, s Vama. - Posted by: Damir Kvestak (Friend) on: Dec 30, 2015

We are so saddened for Mico's sudden passing. Just a few short months he was driving his Quad, working on his Bobcat doing landscaping and giving my grandson a lift on his Quad. Anton loved it, and he loved cica Mico coming over & we were often discussing this, after we heard that he was hospitalized & to my surprise Anton even knew how old was cica Mico. Mico came to the rescue so many times for our family, from doing plumbing, landscaping on the house but also just helping to find reliable construction workers. Sometimes, he came for a few minutes said halo, I'd ask how are you, how is Draga but only sometimes did he complain about the pain. We sincerely hoped & we prayed that he would recover from this and that we would see him enjoy his life & family once more. As God did take a hardworking man from his family too soon, we only wish that God would grant him an eternal rest in heaven. Sincerely, Marica & Ive Zalac, with family: Tomislav & Karen Santek, Anton & Kaia. - Posted by: Marica Zalac (friend of the family) on: Dec 30, 2015

Mike, to me, was a GREAT FRIEND; who gave of himself never expecting anything in return! Always positive, always happy, open to what he could do for his fellow man!!! He loved birds and animals ...... when my grandkids wanted a cat; Mike said .... better take 2, one is too lonely by himself. He will be sooooo missed not only by his wonderful Family, his fellow pigeon fanciers, but so many others who came to Mike for help or advice! Thanks Mike for your many years of FRIENDSHIP!!!! - Posted by: Peter Pauls (Friend) on: Dec 30, 2015
