MARTHA ANNE JOHNSTON Martha Anne Johnston, age 82, passed away peacefully, December 27, 2015, in Lacombe Alberta. Anne was born on October 20, 1933, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was the oldest of three siblings and the only daughter of Anna and William Tait. Anne is survived by her youngest brother Tom (Pat), her five children and their families: David, Stephen (Sue Baer), Michael (Lea), Kelly (Kevin Drozdowski) and Karen (Terry Pearce); 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Anne was predeceased by her mother, father, her brother Bill, and granddaughter Melissa. Anne was an avid supporter and volunteer of her family and other children in sports, particularly bowling. She loved to golf, curl and bowl, she also loved to watch them all on television especially her Blue Bombers, Leafs and any curling especially if a Manitoba team was involved. Anne loved all her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved spending time with them all. Her family and friends felt the same way about her and she will always be loved and fondly remembered by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will take place January 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's United Church, 5226-51 Avenue, Lacombe, Alberta. Her family would like to thank the staff who cared for our mother at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre.
