Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNINE FILLION (BRUNEAU) September 29, 1925 - December 28, 2015 Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Jeannine Fillion passed away December 28, 2015 at Action Marguerite, in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 90 years. Jeannine is survived by six daughters and one son: Yvette (Dave), Jocelyne (Walter), Claude (Gloria), Ginette (Geoff), Colette (Greg), Estelle (Jack), and Danielle (Rick); grandchildren: Jason, Heather, Ian, Shad, David, Shawn, Nicole, Dustin, Kristin, Jenna and Andrew, as well as six great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother George Bruneau (Celima), sisters: Yvette St. Godard, Lorraine Foss, Rose-Marie Bremault (Roger), and Annie-Marie Roy (Richard), sisters-in-law: Germaine and Irene; and also brothers and sisters-in-law from the Fillion family. Jeannine was predeceased by her husband Albert, her parents Ludger and Angelina Bruneau, and brothers: Leo, Ephrem and Aime. Mom married Albert in 1946 and together they raised their seven children in St. Jean-Baptiste. After enduring numerous floods they moved into town to enjoy their retirement. We will miss her specialty roast beef dinners, her pate de fois gras with her homemade mustard, late night snacking on toasted asparagus and cheese sandwiches, and her hangover soup the next morning. Jeannine was a member of the Ligue Des Femme Catholique. She loved to crochet, play cards and play bingo. Jeannine loved being with her family and especially her grandkids. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Jean-Baptiste Catholic Church. Viewing will be held at the church prior to the service at 1:30 p.m. with the eulogy read at 1:45 p.m. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Action Marguerite (Foyer Valade). Donations in memory of Jeannine Fillion may be made to the charity of their choice. A la famille de Jeannine, Estelle, Claude - Gloria et le reste de la famille. Votre mere etait tellement une "bonne hostess" elle nous accuiellait toujours avec son sourire et sa bonne bouffe. On aimait bien jouer aux cartes avec eux et se compter des histoires. Je me souviens une immense bordee de neige avait tombe et eux nos voisins nous ont telephone pour jouer aux cartes. Jeannine etait courte, comme vous le savez, pour se rende a notre maison, elle n'avait jusqu'a la ceinture.....mais elle c'est rendue ... de tres bon souvenir. Mes prieres et pensees sont avec toi Estelle et pour tous les membres de votre famille. J`ai des bonnes souvenir de votre mere quand j`allait chez vous pour la bonne nourriture et les veillees quand ta mere faisait du mais pour nous en regardant Chiller Thriller.
